Stephanie FitzSimon
Stephanie FitzSimon has been making art for over 25 years and has been a high school fine arts teacher for 14 years. A native of Vero Beach, Florida, and a daughter of a world-renowned marine biologist, Stephanie uses her love of literature, the ocean, theatre, and the world around her as inspiration for her artwork.
Stephanie studied Theatre, Speech, and Art Education at BYU-Idaho and was frequently referred to as a renaissance woman doing a little bit of everything. She put herself through school as a theatrical set painter for the university and would add sculpting and mask making to that job to assist in costuming and props for the theatre.
She met her husband while attending college, and they moved to Texas in 2009, where she became a teacher of art and theater. They have one daughter and three rescue dogs, who also serve as inspiration for her art.
Stephanie has sold her paintings and drawings locally and across the nation for 14 years, and her work ranges from framed paintings, wall murals, painted furniture, small sculptures, and more.
Stephanie and her family currently reside in College Stations, TX, and she is the high school Theatre and Art teacher for Navasota high school.
Stephanie is available for commissions and has a wide variety of artwork for sale in her studio and the Red Velvet Inn & Gallery in Navasota, TX.
