Molly Bee

Inspired by her father, artist Leon Collins, Molly Bee took to the paintbrush naturally, with her debut starting at the early age of nine. Molly Bee was born Krystel Minor in Navasota, TX, on January 14, 1990. She was raised by her father and has been an artist for over 15 years, adept at various styles and media.

Molly “loves doing Black Folklore Art paintings” inspired by history, family, and Southern culture. Her artwork displays both joy and empathy.

“It is said that most artists in the folk-art genre do not have formal training, and the result is that all pretense and popular trends are removed from their artwork so that it clearly reflects the voice of the artist.” This is true of Molly Bee! Molly Bee’s work is represented at the Red Velvet Inn & Gallery, and she has an extensive collection at her home studio. Commissions are available.
