Chaz Speed
Chaz considers herself a Christian first, a mother to her six children (although they are all grown), and then an artist. She has studied with many fine artists, including Dalhart Windberg, Margaret Kessler, Greg Kreutz, and Bruce Peil.
Chaz works primarily in oil on canvas, with still life as her favorite subject. She has been commissioned to paint murals and oil on canvas for various churches and businesses across Texas. Turquoise embellished gourd work is her passion, and she grows her own gourds! Chaz has accomplished portraiture in oil, watercolor, and pastel and enjoys putting people into scenes on canvas.
Chaz has won several Juried Art show awards for her works in oil. She currently lives in College Station, Texas, near her three daughters.
